Here's the scoop

Locally churned with love, MILK Ice Cream has been a part of Calgary's foodie scene since 2019. MILK has been offering pints and grab-n-go minis from their family diner, John's Breakfast & Lunch (also a delicious hidden gem). Personally, my friends & I have picked up a fair share of ice cream from MILK over the last year. No dairy? No problem! Their name might be MILK, but they also offer plant-based options!

There are currently two beautiful minds behind MILK operations. Anita and Tiffany are cousins and best friends that started their ice cream journey to share their sweet tooth with Calgary. The duo keeps the business running like a well-greased ice cream machine. They are in sync and work together seamlessly like peas in a pod. It's not every day you become business partners with your bestie (and family)! Despite all the hard work, they are humbly grateful for all the help and support from their family & friends. No good deed goes unnoticed whether it's family helping with cleaning or simply reminding them to take a minute to eat and have some water. It's no small feat running a business but Anita and Tiffany are always looking for meaningful ways to give back to local causes and engage with the community. Several of their flavours are made in collaboration with other small businesses in Calgary.

MILK started off as a little pop-up but it has grown and gathered so many ice cream lovers since then. Their goal is to share bits of their roots and childhood memories with the community. Anita and Tiffany are always coming up with unique and adventurous flavours that are oftentimes nostalgic. For example, the White Rabbit flavour brings back nothing but good childhood memories! It brings you back to the iconic milky & chewy White Rabbit candy (if you know, you know) that would just melt in your mouth - the rice paper wrapper is its signature! They've managed to recreate this in ice cream form. Mmm-mmmm. The Vietnamese Coffee ice cream is another fan-favourite. This one was inspired by their parents' hardship when they immigrated from Vietnam. A full circle back to their roots. There are so many other honourable mentions! PB Pretzel, Egg Tart, Jackfruit, Honey Butter, Chrysanthemum Cream, and my personal favourite - Pandan Coconut. The list goes on...are you enticed yet??
With summer around the corner, Anita and Tiffany have some exciting news to share with the community. They are bringing back a flavour that was a huge hit: DUNKAROOS! MILK is adding and swapping out flavours all the time so they keep the menu exciting.

Psst...word on the street is that MILK will be opening their own scoop shop soon. Pints are great but it's hard to beat a nice cold double scoop ice cream cone on a hot summer day.
